A Personal Thank You…
My Figure Competition =) My ultimate personal goal!
To say Saturday was an amazing experience is a pure understatement!
The support and love I received from my friends was truly one of the most overwhelming feelings in the world! I truly couldn’t have done it without you.
This event was more than just a ‘show’, it was a test…a battle. MY battle. I had to see if I could stand on stage in a little bathing suit and hold my head high. Not only did I have to be confident about WHO I am, but confident about the body I’ve struggled with my entire life.
The past 16 weeks have been a struggle, but a full blown mission. For the first time in my life, I was ready for this challenge and took it head on. Those that know me well know I was focused beyond recognition. I wore sweats all day long in this brutal heat, ate so much chicken I thought I’d sprout wings, had no sugar, no salt, no seasoning, only water and coffee, and worked out for 3 hours a day at times.
BUT…I will say this. THIS COMPETITION WAS THE BEST THING I’VE EVER DONE!
After dropping 26 pounds in 16 weeks (making my total weight loss 61 pounds!) and going from a size 8/10 to a 2/4, I stood before you, and a few hundred others, as a CONFIDENT WOMAN!!!
That was my victory! I could have cared less how I placed or if I placed, that wasn’t my goal. I achieved my goal and for the first time in my life, I am proud of MYSELF!
I have also received many emails from others on how I have inspired them to do something different and break out of their comfort zone. THAT is my trophy. 
The friends at the event cheering for me, or simply sending me an “atta girl” message are MY inspiration, MY drive, and MY incentive to do more for others and for all my kids.
I sit here typing with tears rolling down my cheeks and for the first time they’re not tears of pain, tears of sorrow, or tears of frustration. They’re truly tears of joy.
I have never in my life been as happy as I am today. I could not have done it without you. For my friends supporting me and keeping me sane, for the I Train Your Kids family for keeping me driven and focused, for Alivia Terrell training me through the entire 16 weeks, for Jason Kubisiak and Kevin Daly for the Digital Drive Buy surprise at the event, for Michelle Donner and Alan Rodriguez for taking pictures, for Robert keeping me laughing through the entire event and making me feel cherished every single day…I love you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
